FALL STOKE

BC SKI FRIENDS: FALL 1.1 STOKE

Old-man-winter is trying to cut in ahead of autumn-glory this weekend, with the local ski hill webcams showing a full on snow storm! I guess I can’t put off regluing my skins any longer with the prospect of possibly getting turns in tomorrow…

Where, and when, does the passion for snowy hills and backcountry lines start for you each year? Does it happen in the fall when you feel like the cold winter air begin to turn the leaves orange? Or possibly does it coincide with checking out a ski film showing happening at one of your local venues? Maybe it’s the ski swap, fall beacon practice with buddies, or when you send your kids down the stairs on skis when checking to see what all fits or needs upgrading.

Winter is close amigos. Keep your eyes peeled on the webcams, forecasts, and ski film showings close to you.

BC SKI LINKS ROUND UP!

THE STOKE STARTS YOUNG FOR SOME

Maybe you were born into it and caught the stoke from your family like this little guy.

DOES THE PASSION ROLL ALL SUMMER FOR YOU LIKE IT DOES FOR THESE GUYS?

Would you ever try this on a lake near you? I’m tempted… I’d probably need to add leashes in case I kicked a ski?

WHERE ELSE DO YOU HEAR PEOPLE HOOP AND HOLLER MID MOVIE?

Ski films shown in the fall are so awesome, and such a rad place to catch the passion and stoke for winter. If you’re an inland northwest backcountry friend definitely check out the two ski movies above being shown as part of a fundraiser for our local snow-forecasting folks at IPAC happening 10/17/19. Buy tickets here!

It’s still September, but winter isn’t far off now. Let the temps drop and the snow stack up!

Much love BC Ski Friends!
